MedPlant.Com portal is part of an ongoing initiative of ekgaon technologies, a socially oriented technological company and Community Enterprise Forum India (CEFI) network along with like minded organization working in the sector for helping community institutions build linkages to markets and develop a commercially viable supply chain for trading raw material, extracts, semi processed produce, as well products based on medicinal plants and herbs. The portal would be one-stop information center on availability of medicinal plant/herbs and Clearing-House of medicinal plant collected by grassroots community across the country.

The portal would also provide access to database related to medicinal plant based knowledge, information on quality standards, testing laboratories, leading consultants & financial aid agencies, government schemes on encouraging medicinal plant cultivation and conservation besides other information on the sector and information on various events, workshops, capacity building programmes in the sector.
